Power supply unit variable Quint-PS
Phoenix Contact
Power supply unit variable Quint-PS
Art. no.: 5246044
Compact power supplies that activate automatic fuses for 24VDC side for mounting on the support rail with SFB technology.
Primary-switched power supplies for mounting on DIN-/ EN support rail. The broad input voltage (primary voltage) means that the power supplies can be used virtually all over the world as well as in applications where high demands are placed on the operating safety. All power supplies are equipped with the external emergency exits which signal if the secondary voltage drops by 10% and if the power supply is overloaded (only SFB version), which also makes them suitable for applications that demand redundancy with monitoring. See also diode module QUINT-DIODE/40 for 100% redundancy connection. Power supplies in the series fulfil the standard for power factor compensation EN 61000-3-2for installation on public networks. The power supplies are also available as Ex-version (for installation in zone 2).
3-phase power supplies also deliver full power if one of the phases falls out. The secondary side is fitted with an electronic circuit protection. The protection is specially developed to reliably activate "normal" automatic fuses/miniature circuit breakers on the secondary side of the power supply if the application requires individually fused groups with SFB technologies and Power Boost.
SFB technology is specially designed to be able to activate slow miniature circuit breakers/automatic fuse protections by being able to deliver under 12 ms a current pulse of 6 times the nominal current (for example, a 10A power supply with SFB technology, delivering a 60 A pulse). This facilitates a quick and safe immediate release of the automatic fuse in the event of a short circuit which, with the traditional power supplies, would take a significant amount of time (even if it were possible).
Power supply unit 1-phase Dimension Q 3 and 5 A
Puls
Power supply unit 1-phase Dimension Q 3 and 5 A
Art. no.: 5219262
• 50% bonus effect
• Very high efficiency (up to 95%)
• High short-circuit currents and several protection filters
• Maximum performance for demanding applications
Dimension Q has very small dimensions and many technical advantages. The units have low input current (even at warm-start), increased temperature range and active protection against network transients (Not QS20). Metal housing
The bonus effect provides 50% extra reserve with a retained 24V, which is an advantage when connected loads draw a high start-up current. The unit also provides high short-circuit current which simplifies tripping of secondary fuses. The units are highly efficient, which yields long life for both the unit and associated products. Temperature development in the cabinet is also kept to a minimum.
Power supply unit Miniline 1-phase 0,6-4,2 A
Puls
Power supply unit Miniline 1-phase 0,6-4,2 A
Art. no.: 5219000
• High efficiency
• Compact format
• Handles high start and overload currents
• High quality and operational reliability
Primary-switched mains system of very high quality and small structure dimension. The range consists of two series; Dimension C with metal housing and Miniline with plastic housing. (Type no. begins with C or ML.) All units have high efficiency, which gives low heat generation and long service life. The units can withstand ambient temperatures up to 60°C without reduction of load current. If overload or short-circuit, the units delivers up to 150-200% of the nominal current. The voltage falls and the current increases. Pulse mains systems are therefore very well-suited to applications with high starting currents, for e.g. DC motors, contactors and coils. The overload function also means that the secondary fuses trip more reliably. In the pulse range, a complete series of 3-phase units and higher output classes are also available.
