The PD-2400 is a passive IR detector intended for presence detection. It has a very sensitive pyro electrical sensor which reacts to changes in heat radiation. The electronics and software of the PD-2400 microprocessor are specially designed for presence detection.
The software analyses the signal from the pyroelectric sensor element and measures noise level and signal strength and counts the pulses. The pulse count is a slower measurement method that detects presences in a low activity site, resulting in weak signals.
With a switch, signal processing can be adapted to premises with high or low activity. A built-in photoelectric cell can be used to stop start-up in the installation with sufficient daylight. The lens in the detector assembles the heat radiation from different fields into the sensor element. There are many different lenses designed for different types of premises (offices, corridors, gyms, culverts, etc.). When a human passes through a field, a strong signal is generated in the sensor element. When someone moves in a field (from or towards the detector, in the field direction), in practice, a weak signal is also generated.

Detector acoustic AD-500/600, Extronic
Art. no.: 1306012
AD500/600 is a presence detector for energy-saving lighting control.
By listening to sounds from two different frequency ranges and analysing them, a presence may be detected.
The lighting is switched on by audibly undetectable, low frequency sounds that arise when a door is opened. The lighting then remains switched on by higher audio frequencies from footsteps and speech. The main function is automatic switching the lighting on/off by the presence/absence of the person. Switching on/off can be made in two separate channels, A and B.
Because the AD-500/600 is an acoustic detector, it can hear round corners and in rooms with shielding décor. This makes it especially suitable for stairwells, dressing rooms with cubicles, etc. The AD series acoustic detectors are complementary to the conventional technology where presence detection with passive IR is used.
The detector is available in two versions. The AD-500 can work completely alone. It is powered by 230VAC and in the enclosure there is a DIN rail with space for contacts if required for e.g. control of fluorescent lighting fixtures. The AD-600 has a standard plastic enclosure for mounting on the DIN rail. Since the AD-600 is placed in an electrical cupboard, at least one external microphone needs to be connected.
For AD-500/600, 6 extra microphones may be connected.
