Shelly Plus Smoke Alarm is an intelligent and wirelessly connected photoelectric (optical) battery-operated smoke detector that effectively detects and warns of smoke development before the smoke gets hot and the fire has time to develop.

Shellys Plus Smoke can be easily set up and controlled through the Shelly Smart Control app or your preferred smart home system. Shelly devices work 100% locally and only need a local network to work. Function
The Shelly Plus Smoke Alarm can be easily installed in any home or business. A CR123A battery as power supply is included, which maintains power for more than three years. Using optical technology, the smoke detector is designed to "see" the smoke before it heats up and bursts into flames. This way, you can get a lightning-fast warning through the Shelly Cloud app when smoke occurs, and at the same time, Plus Smoke will also emit a >85 dB light and sound alarm. When the battery level is low, Shelly Plus Smoke will notify you through the Shelly Smart Control app.

Connection
The Shelly Plus Smoke Alarm can be connected to the Internet or the local network on 2.4 GHz WiFi. In addition, the device has built-in Bluetooth, like the rest of the Pro and Plus devices. The device works locally without connection to Shelly Cloud and can also communicate via MQTT, HTTP and WebSocket.

Hardware
The device is equipped with hardware from generation 2, which, among other things, consists of a powerful ESP32 processor. This enables the use of scripting functions for advanced and custom functionality with the device.

Shelly I4 Gen3 has four inputs with four functions per input (1, 2 and 3 short presses and long presses) and enables manual sending of wireless commands to activate or deactivate scenes, send webhooks or perform complex scenarios.The devices can control other Shelly relays, dimmers, sensors or HTTP and MQTT controlled devices.

All Shelly WiFi devices have a built-in web server, which means you get a wealth of features that always work. The built-in web server means that Shelly has built-in memory and therefore remembers sunrise, sunset, schedules and more, even when the network goes down. Relays and dimmers work like normal rocker relays and can therefore be used with your usual switches - even without internet. All inputs and outputs are fully programmable and only require local wifi to communicate between devices. However, we recommend having an active internet connection as it opens up even more features.
