This type of motor protection is used when manoeuvring is not necessary. Example of applications include upright drilling machines, cross-cutters. The breakers can also be used together with contactors in order to achieve a facility which can be manoeuvred or if the unit is to be incorporated into automatic equipment.
The devices are self-protecting, i.e. separate short-circuit protection systems are not needed in case of short-circuit current of up to 100 kA (see the information in the ordering table).
There is a wide range of accessories for the breakers. E.g. encapsulations, auxiliary contacts, signal contacts, undervoltage triggers and labelling to name a few.

Non-encapsulated motor protection switch for installation on bearing rail (width 35 mm, height 7.5/10/15 mm). Overload and short circuit protection for motors up to 11 kW/400 v. PKZM 0 is unlimited short-circuit proof ("intrinsically safe") up to the rated current Iu = 10 A. By combining motor protection switch PKZM 0 with contactors DILM (E32) a start connection is obtained PKZM 0-DILM. The start switch is mounted on 35 mm bearing rail. PKZM 0 can be supplemented with other accessories as shown below.
