GeneralThe Serial Communication Module provides an interface for ESPA 4.4.4 communication. ESPA 4.4.4 is a protocol designed for paging and is often used as a standard interface between different systems to send messages and alerts. The SCM module is for example used by security alarms and fire alarm systems to transmit alarms and messages to the COBS system. The SCM module is a 2-way communication module, which makes it possible to both send and receive alerts to- and from connected systems.
