Design: After cable splicing, it is placed in the included splice box that is then filled with a flexible two-component insulation putty. The putty is completely environmentally sound and free of toxins such as isocyanates. Any residue can therefore be thrown directly into the trash. The putty has been tested by Sveriges Provnings- and Forskningsinstitut [Sweden's Test and Research Institute] (SP), report no. F3 00660.
Set contents: The sets for paper-insulated cable or for transition between plastic- and paper insulated cable contain material for connecting a lead jacket.

Design: The cable splice consists of an impact-resistant mould with flexible sealing rings between the mould and the cable. Casting resin and hardener are precisely measured in a two-chamber bag. SMARTA should not be installed at temperatures below –10°C.
When splicing paper-insulated cable, and at transitions between paper- and plastic-insulated cable, the PPC accessory set must be used.
When splicing plastic-insulated cable to paper-insulated cable, sleeves with intermediate walls must be used.
