The mechanical screw cable lug is made of tinned aluminum, and has torque-controlled bolts that ensure the correct torque every time it is installed. All bolts are hexagonal bolts. The screw cable lug is made with transverse grooves on the inside for the best tensile strength of the conductor. When the sleeve is tinned, it can be used for both aluminum and copper. Melbye's mechanical screw cable lug for 1kV is tested for class 5, multi-wire copper conductor. All products are tested according to IEC-61238-1, 2018 class A.
