Alternative electrical limiter 24 kV

Protect a leader by using an alternate current limiter instead of just one
surge arrester. The advantage is that you can choose a smaller surge arrester. Under normal operating conditions, the surge arrester is not loaded with the operating voltage when its other end is in the air.

This method provides customers with an uninterrupted power supply, because the spark gap does not cause any quick reconnections.

The surge arrester is connected serially with the arc tower. The installation can be performed on any side of the bracket, it is not dependent on the feed direction. The major advantage of alternative current limiter is that you do not disturb the network. You avoid reconnections in the network.

An overvoltage ignites the spark gap that leads the overvoltage through the surge arrester to
earth. Alternative current limiters can be installed in existing network. Three sets are required for one bracket. The bracket must always be grounded!
