for minimum tensile strength according to MIL-S-23190 (USA)

The self-locking TY-RAP band up is characterised by a
smooth and soft band design with rounded and uniform edges
profile. They have no notchesor cuts that can cause
breaks in the band during cold or dry conditions.
The smooth and even band design means that the installation
on cables and wires is not damaged.
