Fibre optic cable for outdoor installation in ducting. The cable contains 4-480 strands of fibre optic. The fibres are joined in 4 to 8 fibre strips (8 fibre strips are found in cables from 192 to 480 fibres). 4 or 8 fibre ribbons are laid in a Polyethylene channel core with a central tension reliever of glass fibre armoured plastic (FRP). GASLDV is waterproof due to vaseline filling material and sheathed in black halogen-free Polyethylene, and is designed for laying by pulling, blowing or reeling in ducting.
