Hyundai SL-71MAG is a seamless, rutile-type flux-cored wire developed for welding carbon steel and low-alloy steels in all positions. It is used with mixed gas (Ar + 20% CO₂) and is characterized by very low hydrogen content, which minimizes the risk of hydrogen-induced cracking and improves weld quality. The wire provides a stable arc, deep penetration, and good impact toughness even at low temperatures. It is particularly suited for applications where high safety and reliability are required, such as offshore, pressure vessels, and bridge constructions.
Benefits:
- Very low hydrogen content (< 3 ml/100 g weld metal)
- Stable arc and good penetration
- Excellent performance in all-position welding
Typical applications:
- Offshore and shipbuilding
- Bridges and piping systems
- Pressure vessels
- Heavy steel construction
