Electrode Elga P48P

P 48P is a basic low-hydrogen and all-round, normal yield electrode with a thin case, specially developed for welding of pipes. It is recommended for welding of non-alloyed, manganese-alloyed and micro-alloyed steel. P 48P has a very stable arc, which gives the electrode a large tolerance box for variations in gap openings and edge displacement. It is very user-friendly and safe to use in difficult situations. The root strings come out even and give a slightly convex string profile. Fill and cover strings lay evenly against the base material. These properties minimize the need forsanding, which reduces environmental problems with grinding dust and noise. It ultimately provides high productivity and reduced costs.
