Cromarod 309MoL is a stainless over strength rutile electrode which gives weld metal type 23% Cr / 12% Ni / 2.5% Mo. The high strength and ferrite content of the weld metal allows for dilution of the weld metal mild strength side creating core and warmth cracks.
Area of application:
- Welding mixed joints between medium or low strength steel against stainless steel.
- Welding on buffer layers against medium and low strength steel against supplementary strings of Cromarod 316L.
