OK Tubrodur 15.43 is a basic type tubular electrode for hard welding without shielding gas. The Ni-Cr-Mo-alloyed weld creates a hardness of 300 - 400 Hv. OK Tubrodur 15.43 is suitable for welding treads on rails and tracks in CMn steel, wheels and rolls for mining wagons and conveyor belts, rollers and axles when a hardness within the aforementioned interval is desired. OK Tubrodur 15.43 is often used together with ESAB’s Railtrac- equipment for welding rails. The electrode is also useful as a ``buffer electrode`` upon which a surface layer with higher hardness can later be welded with another Tubrodur. In most cases, the weld is performed with OK Tubrodur 15.43 without preheating. The need for increased working temperature is determined by the applicable base material’s weldability, shape and dimensions. Shielding gas: No Current type DC+.
