The fibreglass rod is made of an inner copper wire, a glass-reinforced core, and an HD polyethylene sheath that is smooth, strong and weather-resistant. The copper wire enables the rod to be located with detection equipment. The rod has a 6 mm diameter and is winded on a galvanised steel base that is mounted on ball bearings and has a diameter of 500 mm.
