Bosch Expert for Metal is a depressed centre grinding disc for metalworking applications. Bonded discs can be changed using the keyless X-LOCK system. The disc features aluminum oxide abrasive grain as well as fillers and additives in a phenolic resin bond matrix for use on metal. The precision-manufactured fiberglass material provides stability during operation. X-LOCK depressed centre grinding discs can also be used on standard angle grinders. X-LOCK is a two-part change system with an X-shaped interface that enables mounting without additional installation tools. The system prevents incorrect installation, and an audible click indicates when the accessory is securely in place. The mechanism allows the disc to be attached without a flange, nut, or wrench. The clamping jaws lock when the disc clicks into position. Nearly all X-LOCK accessories can be used on standard angle grinders, with the exception of accessories with threaded mounts, such as diamond drill bits and cup brushes. X-LOCK cordless angle grinders feature the X-Brake function, which stops the disc within one second after the tool is switched off.
