All CPUs have a corresponding Safety CPU, F-CPU. All CPUs have a built-in PROFINET interface (2-port switch). CPU 1516, 1517 and 1518 also have an interface for ethernet (PROFINET basic), e.g. to connect to a parent network, and the PROFIBUS interface (only the master, for the slave and expand your module is necessary). All CPUs are equipped with a display. One must specially order a SIMATIC memory card to all CPUs.
