U-EK 230E is a thermistor motor cover to be used in conjunction with a contactor to protect Ex-fans, can also be used for fans with built-in thermistor. It is designed as an electronics unit designed to be snap-mounted on a 35 mm DIN rail. I The fan motors have six series-connected thermistors, two per phase winding, whose resistance is affected by the temperature. When the motor temperature exceeds the permissible temperature, the resistance rises steeply and the motor protection triggers. When the motor cover has tripped, the indicator lamp labeled "Interference" lights up. Resetting is done manually, either by pressing the "Reset" button, or by turning the motor cover off (switching the supply to A2) for about 10 seconds. If a five-stage transformer is used to control the EX fan, the U-EK 230E must be connected to the transformer.

STDT 16 for wall mounting breaks the supply voltage to the motor if the thermocouple in the motor windings is tripped.
The motor protection is connected to 400 V and the thermocouple in the motor.
Recovery of the motor protection is carried out by pressing the black button, which is possible as soon as the windings in the motor have cooled sufficiently.
The motor protection can also be mounted together with a transformer.
As an accessory, alarm contact K is available with built-in potential-free connector for external signal in the event of a triggered relay.

Thermal contact motor protection S-ET 10 for wall mounting breaks the supply voltage to the motor if the thermal contact in the motor windings has tripped. The motor cover is connected to 230 V and to the thermal contact in the motor. The motor protection is reset by pressing the black button, which is possible as soon as the winding in the motor has cooled down sufficiently. The motor cover can also be mounted together with the transformer. The S-ET has an alarm contact as an accessory. The alarm contact has a built-in potential-free contact for external signal at the triggered relay.
