Abrasive Belt 237AA 3M Trizact
Art. no.: 86662360
Use 3M Trizact 237AA abrasive belts with fast-cutting aluminum oxide for a consistent finish on hard metals such as steel and stainless steel.
The belts utilize 3M microreplication technology, where micron-grade aluminum oxide particles are formed into tiny pyramids of abrasive mineral on an X-weight cloth backing. Under medium pressure, the pyramids break down and expose fresh, sharp mineral, delivering a consistent cut rate and a predictable finish.
The durable backing of the 237AA abrasive belts helps provide control, conformity, and effective medium-pressure grinding. The resin-bonded abrasives offer enhanced heat resistance and help prevent delamination.
The three-dimensional pyramid abrasive structure is evenly distributed across the entire surface, ensuring consistent performance. The pyramids contain layers of mineral that break down with repeated use, revealing fresh, sharp abrasive. This self-renewing cycle helps the abrasive maintain its cutting efficiency.
The belts feature a film joint, a strong and reliable splice that joins the belt ends and minimizes splice marks. This allows the belts to run smoothly and produce a uniform finish.
Our Trizact abrasives deliver a finer finish, faster results, and last up to five times longer than conventional abrasive products. They provide precise control over the finish, reducing the need to step down through multiple grit sizes and consequently minimizing the number of process steps and abrasive products required.

Abrasive Belt 947A 3M Cubitron II
Art. no.: 86662129
3M Cubitron ll abrasive belt 947A is intended for use from automated grinding with high pressure to low and medium pressure applications for coarse grinding. It can be used on equipment such as pedestal grinders, file belt sanders, inline sanders and stroke sanders. The belt features precision-shaped abrasive grains on a polyester-cotton X-weight cloth backing.
The precision-shaped abrasive grains are formed into triangular points that cut through metal rather than chiselling or ploughing like conventional abrasives. The points are self-sharpening because they generate new sharp edges as they fracture. This occurs with less heat generation, reducing heat-related cracking and discoloration. The abrasive provides a consistent finish throughout the product’s service life and helps avoid burn marks during final grinding.
The X-weight cloth backing is durable, and the mineral is bonded with a resin binder for reliable operation under high heat and pressure.

Abrasive Belt 3M SC-BL LS Scotch-B

Abrasive Belt 3M SC-BL LS Scotch-B
Art. no.: 86662125
Non-woven abrasive belts with low stretch for cleaning, finishing, and light deburring applications. The belts are 75 mm wide and 2000 mm long, designed for belt-driven machines. The abrasive mineral is aluminum oxide, grade A CRS.
The construction consists of an open web of fiber strands combined with resin and abrasive mineral. The open structure allows chips and debris to pass through, reducing loading during processing. As the product is used, the fibers gradually break down, exposing fresh abrasive mineral over time.
Suitable for use on steel, stainless steel, carbon steel, titanium, and nickel alloys, as well as aluminum, copper, brass, and soft non-ferrous metals. The low-stretch version is intended for applications where a standard web may otherwise elongate in the machine or where reduced conformability is desired.

Abrasive Belt Scotch-Brite SC With Film Backing
Art. no.: 86662362
The Scotch-Brite SC Surface Conditioning Belt with film backing is intended for a wide range of applications and is particularly suitable for work on flat parts where close-to-surface sanding is required. The belt features a nylon backing with lower friction and stretch, reducing the risk of the belt yielding or stretching during use. The backing material can be used in applications where standard cloth-backed belts may stretch and come off the machine. The belts are available with different abrasive minerals, grit sizes and converted forms. Aluminium oxide is available in coarse (CRS), medium (MED) and very fine (VFN) grades, while silicon carbide is available in medium (MED), very fine (VFN) and super fine (SFN) grades. Aluminium oxide is a synthetic mineral known for sharp cutting action, durability and extended use. Silicon carbide breaks down faster than aluminium oxide and produces a finer finish. The belts are available in narrow, wide and standard sizes and are typically used on belt sanding machines. Narrow belts can be used for workpieces with narrow surfaces, recesses and details such as crankshaft or camshaft lobes, while wide belts are suitable for larger workpieces such as stamped parts, sheet metal components and moulds. The Scotch-Brite material consists of fibre strands, resin and abrasive mineral in an open web structure. The resilient fibres conform to contours and remove burrs and contaminants without altering the geometry of the workpiece. The open web structure allows particles to pass through the material, reducing abrasive loading. During use, the fibres break down and expose fresh abrasive mineral, contributing to consistent results across multiple workpieces.
