Performance classes for applications with bolted connections are used in SS-EN 1090-2
to define a specific set that applies to the performance. The
product standards that apply to screws with associated nuts and washers
for steel structures must meet the requirements according to standards EN 15048-1
for non-prestressed joints and EN 14399-1 for pre-stressed joints.
Assortment of steel construction screws according to EN 15048-1 includes both fully threaded and partially threaded
screws. All according to 8.8, hot-dip galvanized. The products are delivered with
screw and nut together. Fully threaded screw in accordance with ISO 4017 and partially threaded
screw in accordance with ISO 4014. Nut in accordance with ISO 4032.
• Screw and nut, assembled together during the breaking strength test, must meet the minimum breaking strength requirement for the tested screw connection. Thread stripping in the nut may occur.
• The dressing must meet the requirement for impact strength 27J -20˚C from M12 and up.
• Screw and nut must be marked with the initials "SB", which describes that the product is intended for (Structural Bolting), steel construction.
• Screw and nut are tested together from the same manufacturer and are delivered in common packaging with batch marking and 3.1 certificate according to SS EN-10204:2005.
