Kem VE - Vinylester anchor in glass ampoule. European type-approved, ETA 06/0115 Option 8 - uncracked concrete, M8-M24.
Vinylester type of chemical anchor provides strong anchoring, without the need for cleaning afterwards, in uncracked concrete.

KEM VE is a chemical anchor for anchor bars and threaded rods. As with all chemical anchors stress forces do not form from self-anchoring in concrete, so mounting is allowed close to concrete edges. KEM also has the ability to manage dynamic loads. KEM VE can also be mounted under water. With KEM the risk of the mounting failing is minimal since the glass ampoule guarantees that the drilled hole is 100% filled for each attachment. Can also be installed at very low temperatures down to -40°C. The curing time is dependent on the concrete’s temperature (at +20°C approx. 20 minutes). Normal durability after the manufacturing date is 36 months after the manufacturing date.

Hazard labelling: Irritant

Installation in solid materials: Drill a hole according to the assembly data in the table. Diamond-drilling holes must be buffed. Clean the hole carefully from drill dust with a brush and blow-out pump. Check that the content of the capsule is liquid and moves when the capsule is hand warm. Mount in the anchor bar using a drill with both impact and rotation. Use the mounting tool (see page mounting kits). Note the curing times before applying load on the anchor. Install the detail to be secured by tightening the nut to the recommended tightening torque as shown in the table. Curing time: before load can be applied on the anchor in a dry environment.
PLEASE NOTE! Mounting in wet holes doubles the curing time.

Permissible loads in kN: Anchor bars and fully-threaded rods, steel grade 5.8 and AISI 316, A4-70 (M30=A4/50) -uncracked concrete C20/25.

Nord-Lock consists of pairs of pre-assembled washers with combs on an incline on one side where the comb angle is greater than the angle of the thread pitch and radial teeth on the opposite side. The washers are always mounted in pairs with the comb sides towards each other.
When the screw/nut is tightened, the Nord-Lock washer grips the opposite surfaces, allowing movement only movement along inclined combs. Each attempt to unscrew a screw/nut will be effectively blocked by the kill locking that will take place.

The NOrd-Lock safety washers have an outer diameter adapted for recessed holes as standard. In addition, there are washers with enlarged outer diameters (SP) for use with large/oblong holes, painted surfaces or soft materials such as aluminium. Use Nord Lock SP washers in combination with the flange screw/nut for maximum load distribution.

Nord-Lock screw fusing system can also be used for high strength screws/nuts. Straight through holes require two pairs of washers, both under the head of the screw and under the nuts. Nord-Lock also effectively secures the nut to the stud bolt and eliminates the need for locking fluid.
