Fiskars universal axe is perfect for both carpentry, cutting branches, chopping kindling, carpentry work and felling trees among many other tasks. The axe has a new and improved design with a thinner and wider edge that provides easy and clean cuts even in fresh, resinous wood like spruce and pine. Fiskars' own sharpening process creates a blade with a sharper edge and provides good contact with clean cuts. The blade's double-hardened, forged steel gives the axe lasting sharpness. By having FiberComp™ in the handle and a double-hardened, forged steel blade, the axe retains its sharp edge even longer. Also, the blade has a low friction coating that glides through wood and protects against rust ensuring the axe stays sharp for a longer time.
